The area of the district is {{convert|3100|km2|sp=us}}.[3] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Yusva.[1] Population: {{ru-census|p2010=19,558|p2002=23,724|p1989=28,677}} The population of Yusva accounts for 23.9% of the district's total population.
