The team compiled a 6–1–1 record (3–1–1 against conference opponents), finished in third place in the Big Ten Conference, and outscored all opponents by a combined total of 131 to 50. George Little was in his first year as Wisconsin's head coach.[1][2] Little had been the head coach at Michigan in 1924; the Badgers suffered their only defeat of the 1925 season to Little's former team. Steve Polaski was the team captain.[3] Halfback Doyle Harmon was selected by Walter Eckersall as a first-team player on the 1925 All-Big Ten Conference football team.[4] The team played its home games at Camp Randall Stadium. The capacity was more than doubled for the 1925 season from 14,000 to 29,783.[5] During the 1925 season, the average attendance at home games was 15,118.[6] Schedule{{CFB schedule|{{CFB schedule entry | date = October 3 | time = | w/l = w | nonconf = y | opponent = Iowa State | site_stadium = Camp Randall Stadium | site_cityst = Madison, WI | score = 30–0 | attend = 10,000 | source = [7] }} |{{CFB schedule entry | date = October 10 | time = | w/l = w | nonconf = y | opponent = Franklin | site_stadium = Camp Randall Stadium | site_cityst = Madison, WI | score = 35–0 | source = [8] }} |{{CFB schedule entry | date = October 17 | time = | w/l = l | homecoming = y | opponent = Michigan | site_stadium = Camp Randall Stadium | site_cityst = Madison, WI | score = 0–21 | attend = 44,000 | source = [9] }} |{{CFB schedule entry | date = October 24 | time = | w/l = w | opponent = Purdue | site_stadium = Camp Randall Stadium | site_cityst = Madison, WI | score = 7–0 | attend = 14,000 | source = [10] }} |{{CFB schedule entry | date = October 31 | time = | w/l = t | away = y | opponent = Minnesota | site_stadium = Memorial Stadium | site_cityst = Minneapolis, MN | score = 12–12 | attend = 40,000 | source = [11] }} |{{CFB schedule entry | date = November 7 | time = | w/l = w | away = y | opponent = Iowa | site_stadium = Iowa Field | site_cityst = Iowa City, IA | score = 6–0 | source = [12] }} |{{CFB schedule entry | date = November 14 | time = | w/l = w | nonconf = y | opponent = Michigan State | site_stadium = Camp Randall Stadium | site_cityst = Madison, WI | score = 21–10 | source = [13] }} |{{CFB schedule entry | date = November 21 | time = | w/l = w | away = y | opponent = Chicago | site_stadium = Stagg Field | site_cityst = Chicago, IL | score = 20–7 | attend = 34,000 | source = [14] }} }} References1. ^{{cite news|title=1925 Wisconsin Badgers Schedule and Results|publisher=Sports Reference LLC|work=SR/College Football|date=March 14, 2017|url=https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/schools/wisconsin/1925-schedule.html}} {{Wisconsin Badgers football navbox}}2. ^{{cite web|title=Wisconsin Football 2016 Fact Book|publisher=University of Wisconsin|year=2016|pages=212, 217|accessdate=March 16, 2017|url=http://grfx.cstv.com/photos/schools/big10/sports/m-footbl/auto_pdf/2016-17/misc_non_event/wisconsin-media-guide.pdf}} 3. ^2016 Fact Book, p. 185. 4. ^{{cite news|title=Eckersall's All-Conference Football Teams|newspaper=Detroit Free Press|date=December 6, 1925|page=16|url=https://www.newspapers.com/clip/5216236/eckersalls_allconference_football/}} 5. ^2016 Fact Book, p. 280. 6. ^2016 Fact Book, p. 258. 7. ^{{cite news|title=Badgers Lick Ames In Season Bow, 30 to 0|newspaper=The Wisconsin State Journal|date=October 4, 1925|page=23|url=https://www.newspapers.com/clip/29803507/badgers_lick_ames_in_season_bow_30_to_0/|via=Newspapers.com}} 8. ^{{cite news|title=Badgers Romp Over Franklin, 35 to 0|newspaper=The Wisconsin State Journal|date=October 11, 1925|page=21|url=https://www.newspapers.com/clip/29803650/badgers_romp_over_franklin_35_to_0/|via=Newspapers.com}} 9. ^{{cite news|title=Badgers Lose To Great Michigan Team, 21 to 0|newspaper=The Wisconsin State Journal|date=October 18, 1925|page=23|url=https://www.newspapers.com/clip/29803792/badgers_lose_to_great_michigan_team_21/|via=Newspapers.com}} 10. ^{{cite news|title=Badgers Beat Purdue on Sloppy Field, 7 to 0|newspaper=The Wisconsin State Journal|date=October 25, 1925|page=23|url=https://www.newspapers.com/clip/29803932/badgers_beat_purdue_on_sloppy_field_7/|via=Newspapers.com}} 11. ^{{cite news|title=Gopher-Badger Struggle Ends in 12-12 Tie|newspaper=The Minneapolis Sunday Tribune|date=November 1, 1925|page=25|url=https://www.newspapers.com/clip/29804059/gopherbadger_struggle_ends_in_1212_tie/|via=Newspapers.com}} 12. ^{{cite news|title=Championship Hopes of Hawks Dashed by Badgers on a Snow Covered Field|newspaper=The Sioux City Sunday Journal|date=November 8, 1925|page=Sports 2|url=https://www.newspapers.com/clip/29804270/championship_hopes_of_hawks_dashed_by/|via=Newspapers.com}} 13. ^{{cite news|title=Badgers Conquer Stubborn Aggies, 21 to 10|newspaper=The Wisconsin State Journal|date=November 15, 1925|page=25|url=https://www.newspapers.com/clip/29804405/badgers_conquer_stubborn_aggies_21_to/|via=Newspapers.com}} 14. ^{{cite news|title=Wisconsin Humbles Chicago, 20 to 7|newspaper=Chicago Tribune|author=Harvey Woodruff|date=November 22, 1925|page=II-1|url=https://www.newspapers.com/clip/29804532/wisconsin_humbles_chicago_20_to_7/|via=Newspapers.com}} 3 : 1925 Big Ten Conference football season|Wisconsin Badgers football seasons|1925 in sports in Wisconsin |
