The 1985–86 NBA season was the Nuggets' 10th season in the NBA and 19th season as a franchise.[1]

In the playoffs, the Nuggets defeated the Portland Trail Blazers in four games in the First Round before losing to the eventual Western Conference Champion Houston Rockets in six games in the Semifinals.
