For the first time, a third team was invited to create a three-team tournament. In order to gain more experience of playing top level opposition, the FA invited Brazil to be the third entrant. They subsequently won the competition after defeating Scotland in the final game to take the trophy.[1] ResultsAll times listed are British Summer Time (UTC+1)England vs Brazil{{footballbox |date=19 May 1987 |time=20:00 |team1={{fb-rt|ENG}} |score=1–1 |team2={{fb|BRA|1968}} |report=[https://jogosdaselecaobrasileira.wordpress.com/1987/05/19/19051987-inglaterra-1-x-1-brasil/ Report] |goals1=Lineker {{goal|35}} |goals2=Mirandinha {{goal|36}} |stadium=Wembley Stadium, London |attendance=92,000 |referee=Michel Vautrot (France) }}ENGLAND: | | |
