The team finished with a 6–5 overall record. The season marked UCF's last in Division I-AA, as the Golden Knights moved to Division I-A in 1996. The 1995 season also featured the debut of UCF's new freshman quarterback, Daunte Culpepper.[1] The season started out on a high note, as the Golden Knights defeated #5 Eastern Kentucky behind 254 yards passing by Culpepper in his first career game. After the season, Marquette Smith is drafted by the Carolina Panthers. Marc Daniels debuted as the new radio voice of the Knights on the UCF Radio Network.[2] {{Clear}}Schedule| poll = no | timezone = Eastern |{{CFB schedule entry | date = August 31 | w/l = w | opponent = Eastern Kentucky | opprank = 5 | site_stadium = Citrus Bowl | site_cityst = Orlando, FL | score = 40–32 | attend = 13,442 }} |{{CFB schedule entry | date = September 9 | w/l = w | opponent = Carson–Newman | site_stadium = Citrus Bowl | site_cityst = Orlando, Florida | score = 35–21 | attend = 13,413 }} |{{CFB schedule entry | date = September 23 | w/l = l | away = y | opponent = Florida State | site_stadium = Doak Campbell Stadium | site_cityst = Tallahassee, FL | score = 14–46 | attend = 76,600 }} |{{CFB schedule entry | date = September 30 | w/l = l | away = y | opponent = McNeese State | site_stadium = Cowboy Stadium | site_cityst = Lake Charles, LA | score = 7–49 | attend = 16,921 }} |{{CFB schedule entry | date = October 7 | w/l = w | opponent = Samford | site_stadium = Citrus Bowl | site_cityst = Orlando, FL | score = 41–14 | attend = 11,333 }} |{{CFB schedule entry | date = October 14 | w/l = l | opponent = Liberty | site_stadium = Citrus Bowl | site_cityst = Orlando, FL | score = 6–7 | attend = 12,210 }} |{{CFB schedule entry | date = October 21 | w/l = l | away = y | opponent = Hawaii | site_stadium = Aloha Stadium | site_cityst = Honolulu, HI | score = 14–45 | attend = 24,383 }} |{{CFB schedule entry | date = October 28 | w/l = w | away = y | opponent = Northeast Louisiana | site_stadium = Malone Stadium | site_cityst = Monroe, LA | score = 34–14 | attend = 16,808 }} |{{CFB schedule entry | date = November 4 | w/l = w | opponent = Bethune–Cookman | site_stadium = Citrus Bowl | site_cityst = Orlando, FL | score = 38–7 | attend = 16,002 }} |{{CFB schedule entry | date = November 11 | w/l = l | opponent = Troy | site_stadium = Citrus Bowl | site_cityst = Orlando, FL | score = 17–28 | attend = 12,312 }} |{{CFB schedule entry | date = November 18 | w/l = w | opponent = Maine | site_stadium = Citrus Bowl | site_cityst = Orlando, FL | score = 37–17 | attend = 11,119 }} }} See also{{Portal|American football|College football|Florida}}
