The FCBL expanded from the original four teams to nine teams. The Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide[1] and the North Shore Navigators[2] were recruited from the New England Collegiate Baseball League; the Brockton Rox were originally in the Can-Am League; and the Pittsfield Suns and Wachusett Dirt Dawgs were expansion teams.[3] The Nashua Silver Knights repeated as FCBL Champions, defeating the North Shore Navigators in the FCBL Championship Series, 2 games to 0. Regular season standings
All-star game{{main|2012 FCBL All-Star Game}}The FCBL's inaugural All-Star Game was hosted by the 2011 FCBL Champion Nashua Silver Knights at Holman Stadium in Nashua, New Hampshire on July 26, 2012. The competition pit the original four teams against the five teams that joined the league. The Original Four teams defeated the New Five teams, 3-0. PostseasonThe post-season expanded from a single championship series to a semifinal series and a final series and thus involved the four of the nine teams with the best regular-season records. The winners of two best-of-three division series (#4 plays #1, #3 plays #2) competed in a best-of-three championship series.[5] In each postseason series, the higher-seeded team had the option of hosting Game 1; or hosting Game 2, plus Game 3 if necessary. Nashua, which had won the 2011 championship on the road, opted to start both the semifinal and the final series as the visitor and thus won both series in Nashua. {{4TeamBracket|RD1=Divisional Series |RD2=FCBL Championship Series |score-width= |team-width=200px |seed-width= |RD1-seed1=1 |RD1-team1=Nashua Silver Knights |RD1-score1=2 |RD1-seed2=4 |RD1-team2=Brockton Rox |RD1-score2=0 |RD1-seed3=2 |RD1-team3=North Shore Navigators |RD1-score3=2 |RD1-seed4=3 |RD1-team4=Torrington Titans |RD1-score4=1 |RD2-seed1=1 |RD2-team1=Nashua Silver Knights |RD2-score1=2 |RD2-seed2=2 |RD2-team2=North Shore Navigators |RD2-score2=0 }} See also
