The third season of the ISTAF Superseries begun on 30 October 2014 to 2 November in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar. There is a total of 4 SuperSeries tournament per season. It is an international Sepaktakraw tournament organised by the International Sepaktakraw Federation which debuted in 2011.[1]{{Better source|reason=per WP:CIRCULAR|date=August 2015}}

The first ISTAF SuperSeries tournament saw Myanmar[2][3] joining in as a new host, followed by the next tournament held in Melaka,[4] Malaysia and the third one in Gunsan City, Korea.[5]

The tournament is played in a regu format (3 players go up against 3 players from the opposing team) with 2 substitutes. The teams play up to 21 points. If there is a deuce at 20-20, the winning need to have at least 2 points more than the other in order to take down the first set, or when a team reaches 25 points first.

ISS Myanmar

The first ISTAF SuperSeries was held in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar at the Wunna Thekdi Stadium from 30 Oct to 2 November 2014.

The competition lasted for a period of 4 days, featuring the top 8 Men’s teams and 6 Women’s teams, according to ISTAF World Ranking. In this new season, a livestream feature was also introduced and accessible by the official Sepaktakraw website.

The winner of ISS Myanmar 2014 (Men) is Thailand, runner up is Malaysia and second runner-up is Host Myanmar.[6]

The winner of ISS Myanmar 2014 (Women) is Thailand, runner up is Vietnam and second runner-up is Myanmar.

Men’s Draw

The first round, or Group Stage, saw 8 men's teams divided into 2 groups of 4. Each group featured a round robin of games, with each team playing against every other team in their group once.

Based on points accumulated, the top 2 teams from each group advanced to the semi-finals. Winner from Group A will go up against runner-up from Group B, vice versa. Winners from semi-finals will proceed to the finals, while the losing teams will move to the third/fourth placement match.

Women's Draw

The first round, or Group Stage, saw 6 women's teams divided into 2 groups of 3 teams each. Each group featured a round robin of games, with each team playing against every other team in their group once.

Based on points accumulated, the top 2 teams from each group advanced to the semi-finals. Winner from Group A will go up against runner-up from Group B, vice versa. Winners from semi-finals will proceed to the finals, while the losing teams will move to the third/fourth placement match.

ISS Malaysia

The second leg of the ISS 2013/14 season was held in Melaka International Trade Centre in Malaysia from 5 February to 8 February 2015.

ISTAF SuperSeries Melaka saw a total of 14 teams from 9 countries return for another round of battle for ISTAF world ranking points. In the finals, Thailand suffered a shock defeat by Host Malaysia with a strong home support backing the Malaysian team.[7]

The ISS Melaka winner for the Men’s teams is Host Malaysia, followed up runner-up Thailand and second runner-up Korea.

The ISS Melaka winner for the Women’s teams is Thailand, who is defending champion, followed by runner up Vietnam and second runner-up Myanmar.

Men’s Draw

ISS Korea

ISTAF SuperSeries 2014/15 held its third tournament of the season in the Wolmyeong Arena in Gunsan City, Korea from 23 April to 26 April 2015.

Host Korea put up a good showing on their home ground and proceed into the finals against Thailand for both Men’s and Women’s. Sepaktakraw, with its history deep in South East Asian roots, has proven that the sport is extending beyond the SEA boundaries and into other parts of Asia.

The winner for ISS Korea (Men) is Thailand, joined by runner-up Korea and second runner-up Malaysia.

The winner for ISS Korea (Women) is Thailand, followed by runner-up Korea and second runner-up Indonesia.

ISS Thailand

ISTAF SuperSeries 2014/15 held its last tournament of the season in Nakhon Pathom in central Thailand from 20 October till 23 October 2015. The tournament was held in Nakhom Pathom Municipal Gymnasium.

Thailand not only hosted the Grand Finale on their home ground, they did their country proud when both the men’s and women’s team

emerged as winners for the ISTAF SuperSeries 2014/15 finals tournament. The runner up for the men’s tournament was taken up by Malaysia with Philippines following close behind as the second runner up. The women’s tournament saw Myanmar as the runner up followed by second runner up, Korea.
