The 2015 Gran Premio Nobili Rubinetterie was the 18th edition of the Gran Premio Nobili Rubinetterie one-day cycling classic, organised by the Associazione Ciclista Arona. The race took place on 19 March 2015.[1] For the first time in the race's history, it was rated as a 1.HC race as part of the 2015 UCI Europe Tour; all previous editions were at the lower 1.1 rank.[2] The defending champion from the 2014 edition was Simone Ponzi ({{Ct|NRI|2015}}), who also won the race in 2011.[1] A large group broke away from the peloton after {{Convert|80|km|4 = 0}}. These riders stayed away for about {{Convert|85|km}}, when the groups came back together. There were late attacks from riders including Alejandro Valverde ({{Ct|MOV|2015}}) and Davide Rebellin ({{Ct|CCC|2015}}), but these were controlled by the sprinters' teams. The race was won in the sprint by Giacomo Nizzolo ({{Ct|TFR|2015}}) ahead of Ponzi, with Marco Haller ({{Ct|KAT|2015}}) in third place.[3] The race took place around Lake Maggiore in the Italian region of Piedmont, finishing in the town of Stresa.[4] Teams24 teams were selected to take part in the race. Eight of these were UCI WorldTeams; ten were UCI Professional Continental teams; five were UCI Continental teams; and one was a national team.[5] {{cyclingteamlist|title=UCI WorldTeams|ALM|TFR|FDJ|MOV|OGE|GRS|KAT|TTS|year=2015}}{{cyclingteamlist|title=UCI Professional Continental teams|team1={{ct|AND|2015a}}|CJR|CCC|COL|VFN|RVL|NRI|DPC|TNN|CSF|year=2015}}{{cyclingteamlist|title=UCI Continental teams|IDE|AZT|GMC|VHS|UNI2|year=2015}}{{cyclingteamlist|title=National teams|team1=Italy|year=2015}}Results{{cyclingresult start|title=Result}}{{cyclingresult|1|Giacomo Nizzolo|ITA|{{ct|TFR|2015}}|4hr 00' 19"}}{{cyclingresult|2|Simone Ponzi|ITA|{{ct|NRI|2015}}|+0"}}{{cyclingresult|3|Marco Haller|AUT|{{ct|KAT|2015}}|+0"}}{{cyclingresult|4|Juan José Lobato|ESP|{{ct|MOV|2015}}|+0"}}{{cyclingresult|5|Grega Bole|SLO|{{ct|CCC|2015}}|+0"}}{{cyclingresult|6|Oscar Gatto|ITA|{{ct|AND|2015a}}|+0"}}{{cyclingresult|7|Iuri Filosi|ITA|{{ct|VFN|2015}}|+0"}}{{cyclingresult|8|Matteo Montaguti|ITA|{{ct|ALM|2015}}|+0"}}{{cyclingresult|9|Antonio Parrinello|ITA|{{ct|AZT|2015}}|+0"}}{{cyclingresult|10|Francesco Reda|ITA|{{ct|IDE|2015}}|+0"}}{{cyclingresult end}}References1. ^1 {{Cite web|url = http://www.procyclingstats.com/race/GP_nobili_Rubinetterie_2015|title = GP Nobili Rubinetterie-Coppa Papa Carlo-Coppa Cittá di Stresa - Classic|date = |accessdate = 15 March 2015|website = ProCyclingStats|publisher = |last = |first = }} 2. ^{{Cite web|url = http://www.gazzetta.it/Ciclismo/09-12-2014/gp-nobili-rubinetterie-uci-hors-categorie-promozione-appuntamento-19-marzo-100179059584.shtml|title = Il GP Nobili promosso a Hors Categorie|date = 9 December 2014|accessdate = 15 March 2015|website = La Gazzetta dello Sport|publisher = |last = |first = }} 3. ^{{Cite news|url = http://www.cyclingnews.com/races/gp-nobili-rubinetterie-coppa-papa-carlo-coppa-citta-di-stresa-2015/results|title = Nizzolo wins sprint at GP Nobili|last = O'Shea|first = Sadhbh|date = 19 March 2015|work = Cyclingnews.com|access-date = 21 March 2015}} 4. ^{{Cite web|url = http://www.acarona.it/wordpress/gp-nobili-rubinetterie-stresa-pronta-allappuntamento/|title = GP NOBILI RUBINETTERIE.
