}}The 3rd Annual Streamy Awards are the third installment of the Streamy Awards honoring web television series. The awards were on February 17, 2013 at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, California.[1]

Although billed as the "3rd Annual", the awards have not actually been presented annually; the poorly received 2nd Streamy Awards were actually presented in March 2010 and was criticized for technical problems, interruptions and controversy;[2] a three-year hiatus followed as the producers and organizers took time to regroup.[1] The International Academy of Web Television, a partner in the 2010 event, chose to create its own awards ceremony for 2011, which continues to this day as a separate event from the Streamys.

In the wake of the 2010 presentation, Tubefilter, the original co-creators of the Streamy Awards, partnered in 2011 with Dick Clark Productions, producers of the American Music Awards and other established entertainment industry awards shows, in an apparent effort to broaden the mainstream appeal and boost the credibility of the Streamy Awards.[3]

The founder of Nerdist Industries, Chris Hardwick, hosted the 2013 presentation.[4] SourceFed created a video detailing that 19 of the 35 award winners were announced prior to the actual presentation.[5] The show featured musical performances from Soulja Boy, Shontelle (featuring Lisa Lavie, Kurt Hugo Schneider, Sam Tsui, and Savannah Outen), Boyce Avenue, Vanilla Ice (featuring Epic Rap Battles of History, Mike Tompkins, and Chester See)
