His father is a well-known public figure in Yemen, a scholar and judge in Islamic Sharia’a and the Mufti of the Republic of Yemen Allama Mohammed bin Ismail Al Amrani. About his lifeAl Amrani studied the basic and secondary levels in Yemen, and obtained his BA in Political Science, from Baghdad University, Faculty of Political Science graduated with good level; and continued his post graduate studies and got a Diploma in International Politics. In the mid-eighties he joined the diplomatic service; Al Amarani was appointed as an ambassador in the Yemeni Foreign Ministry service, Yemeni government. He represented the Yemeni government in many missions held in both the Arab region and the International regions such as Europe and the United States. He participated as a member of the Yemeni delegations in International Conferences such as the non-Aligned Summit and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and others. He attended many cultural events and seminars representing Yemen in the region and outside the region. In the nineties when he was delegated to Washington Embassy he was rewarded the membership of the Academy of Political Science upon publication of a study in the Journal of American in the area of specialized political development. Al Amrani has visited about thirty-five countries, as official visits and some personal visits. His extensive experience and knowledge produced a book includes the literature of the countries visited and displaying his views and impressions of both the East and the West culture. The book is called Yemeni Vision in Traveling Literature. Through his early career, he started writing press releases and has published a series of articles in the Yemeni newspapers of Yemen magazines magazine in the Arab neighboring region. He is known and characterized by being harsh in criticizing the Foreign Ministry regime's and policies, and was banned by the Yemeni authorities from writing for many years. He resumed his writings after the fall of President Ali Abdullah’s regime early 2011.[2] Again in early February 2014, Mr. Abdulwahab Alamrani and Some other Yemeni Ambassadors, have been prevented and banned officially from resuming their writings in the newspapers, in which they criticize the ongoing corruption, government performance,[3] the foreign policy, the formation of the State, particularly with regard to the federalism and the outputs of the National Dialogue. Although, there are some Yemeni diplomats and ambassadors still writing in the newspapers to this day, and they are not affected by this ban,[4][5][6] because they go along with the current political forces or due to being members of parties; justification of the mentioned above ban, observers believe that this ban is due to the fact that the change desired is still incomplete and not achieved yet after the revolution (Arab Spring) in 2011 in Yemen, unfortunately, freedom continuous to be suppressed and controlled by those previous political leaders in control.[7] Positions
