Absh Khatun (ابش خاتون) was sovereign Queen of Persia from 1263 to 1287. She was the 9th and last ruler of the Atabeg or Sulghurid dynasty of Persia. LifeShe was originally from Shiraz, daughter of Bibi Khatun of Kirman, granddaughter of Kutlugh Turkan of Kirman, and maternal niece of Padishah Khatun of Kirman. She married Manku Timur and resided in Ordu, capital of the Ilkhanate. In 1263, her father-in-law, Khan Hulägu, defeated Seljuk Shah of Persia, and then sent Abish to Shiraz to reign as his vassal ruler instead.
