DescriptionAbispa splendida can reach a length of about {{convert|26|mm}}, with a forewings span of about {{convert|42|mm}}. Body is black and orange-yellow coloured. Thorax is black with yellow shoulders. Head, antenna and legs are yellow. The abdomen shows yellow and black segments. Wings are orange.[6][7][8]BehaviorThese wasps build their mud nest under rocks or inside holes in trees. Larvae pupate in their pot. The golden yellow pupa reach a length of about {{convert|30|mm}}.
