Adam Gale Malloy (September 10, 1830 – November 10, 1911) was a colonel in the Union Army during the American Civil War who was nominated and confirmed for appointment to the grade of brevet brigadier general in 1866. BiographyMalloy was born on September 10, 1830, in Ireland.[1] He died on November 10, 1911, in Escondido, California and is buried in San Marcos, California. Military careerAfter the outbreak of the American Civil War, Malloy joined the Union Army and was assigned to the 6th Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry Regiment. He was later promoted to Colonel and given command of the 17th Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry Regiment.
