It is known commonly as Opler's longhorn moth. It is endemic to California.[1] The length of forewings is {{convert|4.4|-|5.5|mm}}. The forewings are dark, metallic olive-bronze. They are either without markings or with two faint whitish spots. The hindwings are slightly narrower and dark brown, with some bronze and purplish.[2] The moth has usually been collected on creamcups (Platystemon californicus).[2] The species was described in 1969 and named for Paul A. Opler, who collected most of the specimens.[2] References1. ^1 {{cite web|title=Adela oplerella |publisher=NatureServe |url=http://explorer.natureserve.org/servlet/NatureServe?searchName=Adela+oplerella |year=2012 |accessdate=May 21, 2012 |archivedate=July 11, 2014 |archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20140711181512/http://explorer.natureserve.org/servlet/NatureServe?searchName=Adela+oplerella |deadurl=no |df= }} 2. ^1 2 {{cite journal |author=Powell, J.
