The lead characters appear completely nude in the film. The film, made at a budget of {{INR}}750,000, grossed around {{INR}}25 million.[1] The success of the film inspired a series of similar productions in the next few years. Director P. Chandrakumar himself went on to direct eight more adult films and Abhilasha became the most demanded actress in B-grade movies of that time.[5] The film was released in Tamil as Muthal Paavam.[6] Cast
