FunctionAEBP2 is a DNA-binding transcriptional repressor. It may interact with and stimulate the activity of the PRC2 complex.[3] AEBP2 may regulate the migration and development of the neural crest cells through the PRC2-mediated epigenetic mechanism and is most likely a targeting protein for the mammalian PRC2 complex.[4] Clinical significanceDiseases associated with AEBP2 include Waardenburg's syndrome, and Hirschsprung's disease.[4] References1. ^{{cite journal|last1=Imhof|first1=Axel|last2=Kim|first2=Hana|last3=Bakshi|first3=Arundhati|last4=Kim|first4=Joomyeong|title=Retrotransposon-Derived Promoter of Mammalian Aebp2|journal=PLOS ONE|volume=10|issue=4|year=2015|pages=e0126966|issn=1932-6203|doi=10.1371/journal.pone.0126966|pmid=25915901|pmc=4411029}} {{Transcription factors|g2}}2. ^{{cite journal | vauthors = Kim H, Kang K, Ekram MB, Roh TY, Kim J | title = Aebp2 as an epigenetic regulator for neural crest cells | journal = PLoS ONE | volume = 6 | issue = 9 | pages = e25174 | year = 2011 | pmid = 21949878 | pmc = | doi = 10.1371/journal.pone.0025174 }} 3. ^{{cite journal | vauthors = Cao R, Zhang Y | title = SUZ12 is required for both the histone methyltransferase activity and the silencing function of the EED-EZH2 complex | journal = Mol.
