Agafokliya ({{lang-ru|Агафо́клия}}) is an old and uncommon[1] Russian Christian female first name.[2] It is derived from the Greek name Agathocles (feminine Agathocleia),[2] itself derived from the Greek words agathos—meaning good, kind—and kleos—meaning glory.[1][2]The name, in the form of Agafokleya ({{lang|ru|Агафо́клея}}), was included into various, often handwritten, church calendars throughout the 17th–19th centuries, but was omitted from the official Synodal Menologium at the end of the 19th century.[3] ReferencesNotes1. ^1 Petrovsky, p. 38 2. ^1 2 Superanskaya [1], p. 251 3. ^Superanskaya [2], pp. 23 and 278
