It was described by Clarke in 1962.[1] It is found in Japan (Honshyu).[2] The wingspan is 25–26 mm. The forewings are pale brownish buff, blotched with brownish suffusion. The extreme base of the costa and a series of 15 to 16 spots on the costa and around the termen are fuscous. There is a transverse blackish bar beyond the base and a blackish crescent in the cell. The surface of the wing is roughened by hairlike scales. The hindwings are shining light greyish-fuscous. The larvae feed on Fagara schinifolia.[3] References1. ^{{LepIndex |id=106126 |accessdate=May 19, 2018}} {{Taxonbar|from=Q13233924}}{{Agonopterix-stub}}2. ^Agonopterix at funet 3. ^[https://archive.org/stream/entomologicalnew731962amer#page/93/mode/1up Ent.
