Alexandroupoli railway station or Alexandroupoli Port railway station ({{lang-el|Σιδηροδρομικός Σταθμός Λιμένα Αλεξανδρούπολης}}, Sidirodromikos Stathmos Limena Alexandroupolis) is the railway station of Alexandroupoli in Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, Greece. The station is located in near the city centre of Alexandroupoli at the Alexandroupoli–Svilengrad railway. Trains coming from Thessaloniki have to reverse for a few hundred meters to reach the station.

History

The station opened in 1874

Services

The station is served by InterCity routes to and from Thessaloniki, and from three conventional train services to Dikaia on a daily basis. International flights such as the so-called " Expression of Friendship " for Istanbul via Pythion have been stopped since 2011.[2]

{{as of|2015}}, the station is served by a single InterCity pair from and to Thessaloniki, a daily regular train pair from and to {{RWS|Athens}} via Thessaloniki and by three pairs of regular trains to {{rws|Dikaia}}, all on a daily basis. International services such as the so-called "Friendship Express" to Istanbul via {{rws|Pythion}} however remain suspended since 2011.[3]
