Early life and educationRoibu was born in Sadaclia, Cimișlia District, on 17 November 1954.[1] He holds a bachelor's degree, which he received from the State Agrarian University of Moldova in 1976.[1] From 1984 to 1985 he attended committee of state security in Minsk. He graduated from the International University of Moldova in 1998.[1] CareerRoibu started his career in the Cimislia district where he served from 1976 to 1984.[1] Then he worked in intelligence and security sector from 1984 to 2002.
