It is situated on a narrow valley in the Taurus Mountains at {{coord|37|30|N|34|43|E}} It is about {{convert|5|km}} to state highway {{TUR-D|750}} Distance to Ulukışla is {{convert|30|km}} and to Niğde is {{convert|80|km}}. The history of the village hasn't been researched yet, but cuneiform on some rocks around the village implies a deep history. The present population of the village is probably of Central Asian origin.[1] The population of the village is 558[2] as of 2011. The main agricultural products are green beans, cherries, grapes, apples, peaches, some cereals and potatoes.
