The species is endemic to Australia. EtymologyThe specific name, lesueurii, is in honor of French naturalist Charles Alexandre Lesueur.[2] DescriptionA. lesueurii is a small ({{convert|8|-|10|cm|0|disp=or}}) gecko. It is a mottled grey colour. Geographic rangeA. lesuerii is found near the eastern coastline of New South Wales and Queensland. BehaviourAlthough it is perhaps the most common gecko in the Sydney region, A. lesuerii is rarely observed unless it is disturbed. During the day it hides under close-fitting rocks, and comes out at night to hunt insects.[3] References1. ^{{EMBL species|genus=Amalosia|species=lesueurii}}. www.reptile-database.org. 2. ^Beolens, Bo; Watkins, Michael; Grayson, Michael (2011).
