}}Amaresh Misra is an Indian writer.[1] He was the convener of the Anti Communal Front in Uttar Pradesh state for Indian National Congress.[2]

During his college years, Misra was a student leader of the radical Left CPI-ML (Liberation) party in Allahabad University.[3] He co-wrote the script for the movie Bullet Raja.[4]

Conspiracy theories

Amaresh Misra is a proponent of several conspiracy theories. He has claimed that the 2008 Mumbai attacks were organized jointly by the CIA, Mossad and RSS. According to him, the Intelligence Bureau was behind the killing of the Mumbai Police's Anti-Terrorist Squad chief Hemant Karkare. He has also blamed BJP and RSS for the 2012 Assam violence, and MNS for the Azad Maidan riots.[5] In 2016 Amaresh Misra launched kissan kranti Dal.

He also launched the 1857 Nationalist Forum in Lucknow to demand changing of epitaphs on cruel British officers graves. AltNews.in reported that Amaresh Misra wrote a conspiracy theory about Ankit Saxena's murder. He blamed Sangh for Ankit's murder, though the killers confessed, and eye witness mentioned killers name, google maps proved that Amaresh Misra's claims were false.[6]

He wanted to rewrite modern Indian History according to his personal view.[7]

He unsuccessfully contested the 2009 Loksabha elections from Lucknow on the ticket of Ulema Council.

Awards

The Urdu Press Club of India awarded Amaresh with the Jasarat Award in 2007.[8]
