The Orión-2 had a gross takeoff mass of {{cvt|100|kg}} and could carry a {{convert|25|kg|adj=on}} payload. Its dimensions were {{cvt|3.77|m}} in length and {{cvt|0.21|m}} in diameter. It could reach a ceiling of {{cvt|160|km}}.^[3] The first version Orión-1 was flown twice in 1965 and 1966 in order to test the engines and technologies; with a length of {{cvt|3.00|m}} it was limited to a {{convert|10|kg|adj=on}} payload.^[4] The production version Orión-2 was launched 22 times from 1966 to 1971.^[3]^[1]
