According to its mission, it is committed to Zionism: the idea that the Jewish people is one people with a shared history, values and language. HistoryThe American Zionist Movement was founded in 1993 as a successor organization of the American Zionist Federation. Since then, it has been the official representative of the World Zionist Organization in the United States, and it is in charge of carrying out elections and sending delegates to the World Zionist Congress in Jerusalem every four years.
