It was developed by Hokus-Pokus[1] and published by Conspiracy Entertainment. GameplayFievel Mousekewitz, a rodent with an immigration card, is heading west in An American Tail: Fievel's Gold Rush. Based on the animated series from Universal Studios, the game has players controlling Fievel as he travels through 18 levels and six worlds, including "New York City" and "Gold Dust Gulch," to piece together Cat Malone's treasure map. Fievel will swing on rope, attack with his ten-gallon hat, ride riverboats, and jump the train to find Wylie Burp's gold.[2] His family and friends were also kidnapped, so he has to rescue his family, as well as find the gold. The game is a traditional side-scrolling platformer. Conspiracy Entertainment has the game aimed at a "young audience who loved the films and direct-to-video sequels."[2] Reception{{Video game reviews|GR = 56%[3] | NP = 2.8/5[3] | Allgame = {{Rating|2.5|5}}[4] }} The game received mediocre reviews from critics. jeuxvideo.com stated, in French, that "It takes a real pleasure to play in an environment so worked. The levels are quite varied and different to want to continue. The characters are very fine and loyal to the cartoon. The animation is very fluid. You will never be hampered by a slowdown and this regardless of the number of enemies displayed[...] particular attention was brought to the soundtrack. It is really very good quality and quite adapted to crossed levels. But there also are somewhat regretted the lack of diversity in the music". Though the publication pointed out that the game will only appeal to younger players, and of the short length of the game.[5] References1. ^An American Tail: Fievel's Gold Rush at MobyGames 2. ^{{cite web|url=http://uk.gameboy.ign.com/articles/137/137178p1.html|title=An American Tail: Fievel's Gold Rush|publisher=IGN|date=2001-10-18|accessdate=2011-08-28}} 3. ^1 {{cite web|title=An American Tail: Fievel's Gold Rush|url=http://www.gamerankings.com/gba/565797-an-american-tail-fievels-gold-rush/index.html|publisher=GameRankings|accessdate=2011-08-28}} 4. ^1 {{cite web|first=Gracie|last=Leach|url=http://www.allgame.com/game.php?id=49065|title=An American Tail: Fievel's Gold Rush - Overview - allgame|publisher=allgame|accessdate=2011-08-28}} 5. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.microsofttranslator.com/bv.aspx?from=fr&to=en&a=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.jeuxvideo.com%2Farticles%2F0000%2F00002040_test.htm|title=Fievel and the lost treasure|publisher=jeuxvideo.com|accessdate=2011-08-28}} External links{{An American Tail}}{{DEFAULTSORT:American Tail Fievel's Gold Rush}}{{platform-videogame-stub}} 7 : 2002 video games|Game Boy Advance games|Game Boy Advance-only games|Platform games|Video games featuring anthropomorphic characters|An American Tail|Video games developed in Denmark |
