The area of the district is {{convert|2684.8|km2|sp=us}}.{{citation needed|date=November 2012}} Its administrative center is the town of Aniva.[1] Population: {{ru-census|p2010=17,533|p2002=15,272|p1989=36,740}} The population of Aniva accounts for 52.0% of the district's total population.
