Now she is doing a correspondence course in English Literature from Mumbai University and a BSW (Bachelor in Social Work) from Nirmala Niketan College. A kathak dancer for the past 15 years, Banerjee has done several stage shows in Kolkata and has learned classical singing. CareerBanerjee rose to fame with Balaji Telefilms teenage crime show, '‘Gumrah’' and Life OK’s Savadhaan India, followed by several other shows on television and a cameo role in The Shaukeens. She made her Bollywood debut with the drama Yeh Hain India.[3][4][5] After appearing with Akshay Kumar in The Shaukeens in 2014, she appeared opposite Bigg Boss 2 and Roadies 5 winner Ashutosh Kaushik.[6][7]. She also played the role of Pinky in Badho Bahu. She had a episodic role in Laal Ishq. She is currently seen in Kasautii Zindagii Kay as Suman Shekhar Sharma, female protagonist's sister-in-law.
