For the album Jardine recruited several music icons including his former Beach Boys band mates.[1][2] The album also contains several unreleased Beach Boys songs including "Don't Fight the Sea" and "Looking Down the Coast".[1] Jardine added "Waves of Love" as one of the bonus tracks on his 2012 reissue of the album. Intentionally or not, the digital and CD versions of the 2012 reissue contained entirely different versions of the song. The CD included a more laid-back, live soundcheck-sounding version with Carl Wilson's lead buried among other voices, while the digital version contained a much more "produced" and punchy version in a different key and with Carl's lead brought to the fore. There is a third version of "Waves of Love" on the Japanese version.[3] Track listing{{Track listing| total_length = 36:17 | all_writing = Al Jardine, except where noted | title1 = A Postcard from California | note1 = featuring Glen Campbell | length1 = 4:59 | title2 = California Feelin' | writer2 = {{hlist|Brian Wilson|Stephen Kalinich}} | length2 = 2:03 | title3 = Lookin' Down the Coast | length3 = 3:45 | title4 = Don't Fight the Sea | note4 = featuring The Beach Boys | writer4 = {{hlist|Al Jardine|Terry Jacks}} | length4 = 3:23 | title5 = Tidepool Interlude | note5 = featuring Alec Baldwin | writer5 = {{hlist|Kalinch}} | length5 = 1:38 | title6 = Campfire Scene | note6 = featuring Neil Young | length6 = 0:44 | title7 = California | note7 = featuring Neil Young, David Crosby & Stephen Stills | length7 = 2:52 | title8 = Help Me, Rhonda | note8 = featuring Steve Miller | writer8 = {{hlist|Wilson|Mike Love}} | length8 = 3:47 | title9 = San Simeon | note9 = featuring America | length9 = 2:48 | title10 = Drivin' | note10 = featuring Brian Wilson & David Marks | writer10 = {{hlist|Jardine|Stevie Heger|Scott Slaughter}} | length10 = 3:12 | title11 = Honkin' Down the Highway | note11 = featuring Brian Wilson | writer11 = {{hlist|Wilson}} | length11 = 3:12 | title12 = California Dreamin' | writer12 = {{hlist|John Phillips|Michelle Phillips}} | length12 = 2:50 | title13 = And I Always Will | length13 = 2:23 }}{{Tracklist | headline = 2012 reissue bonus tracks | collapsed = yes | total_length = 44:11 | title14 = Waves of Love | note14 = featuring Carl Wilson | writer14 = {{hlist|Jardine|Larry Dvoskin}} | length14 = 3:51 | title15 = Sloop John B | writer15 = {{hlist|traditional, arranged by Jardine}} | length15 = 4:03 }}{{Tracklist | headline = 2012 Japanese reissue bonus tracks | collapsed = yes | total_length = 42:38 | title14 = Waves of Love | note14 = alternate version) (featuring Carl Wilson | writer14 = {{hlist|Jardine|Dvoskin}} | length14 = 3:51 | title15 = The Eternal Ballad | writer15 = {{hlist|Ching Hai|Jardine}} | length15 = 2:30 }} Personnel
