释义 |
Arcesilaus ({{lang-el|Ἀρκεσίλαος}}) was one of Alexander the Great's generals. Following the death of Alexander, Arcesilaus was allotted Mesopotamia in the Partition of Babylon in 323 BCE, which he may have administered since as early as 331 BCE.[1] He supported Perdiccas, and may have been deposed or forced to flee his satrapy for this reason.[2] Nothing concrete is known about him after 323 BCE, but it is also believed that he may have been an opponent of Seleucus.[3] In any case, by the Partition of Triparadisus in 320 BCE, Arcesilaus had fallen from influence, as he was replaced in his satrapy by Amphimachus.[4] References1. ^{{cite book|last1=Heckel|first1=Waldemar|title=Who's Who in the Age of Alexander the Great: Prosopography of Alexander's Empire|date=15 April 2008|publisher=John Wiley & Son|isbn=1405154691|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=NR4Wn9VU8vkC&pg=PT57&lpg=PT57&dq=arcesilaus+satrap+323+bc&source=bl&ots=Y83Gtr3Tqq&sig=R1qYiIv_7k8KWo_JL9REA0qyDnQ&hl=en&sa=X&ei=pX-OVO3UHoqKyATZsoDQDA&ved=0CDkQ6AEwBQ#v=onepage&q=arcesilaus&f=false|accessdate=15 December 2014}} {{Alexander's Generals}}{{Hellenistic satraps}}2. ^{{cite book|last1=Heckel|first1=Waldemar|title=Who's Who in the Age of Alexander the Great: Prosopography of Alexander's Empire|date=15 April 2008|publisher=John Wiley & Son|isbn=1405154691|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=NR4Wn9VU8vkC&pg=PT57&lpg=PT57&dq=arcesilaus+satrap+323+bc&source=bl&ots=Y83Gtr3Tqq&sig=R1qYiIv_7k8KWo_JL9REA0qyDnQ&hl=en&sa=X&ei=pX-OVO3UHoqKyATZsoDQDA&ved=0CDkQ6AEwBQ#v=onepage&q=arcesilaus&f=false|accessdate=15 December 2014}} 3. ^{{cite book|last1=Boiy|first1=Tom|title=Late Achaemenid and Hellenistic Babylon|date=2004|publisher=Peeters Publishers|isbn=9042914491|pages=130-131|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=1frplXFGf4sC&pg=PA130&lpg=PA130&dq=arcesilaus+satrap+323+bc&source=bl&ots=Tnss2L4rDy&sig=cnDgkihehR1S6uRvO9VhXRyRCD8&hl=en&sa=X&ei=pX-OVO3UHoqKyATZsoDQDA&ved=0CC0Q6AEwAg#v=onepage&q=arcesilaus%20satrap%20323%20bc&f=false|accessdate=15 December 2014}} 4. ^{{cite book|last1=Heckel|first1=Waldemar|title=Who's Who in the Age of Alexander the Great: Prosopography of Alexander's Empire|date=15 April 2008|publisher=John Wiley & Son|isbn=1405154691|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=NR4Wn9VU8vkC&pg=PT57&lpg=PT57&dq=arcesilaus+satrap+323+bc&source=bl&ots=Y83Gtr3Tqq&sig=R1qYiIv_7k8KWo_JL9REA0qyDnQ&hl=en&sa=X&ei=pX-OVO3UHoqKyATZsoDQDA&ved=0CDkQ6AEwBQ#v=onepage&q=arcesilaus&f=false|accessdate=15 December 2014}} 4 : Generals of Alexander the Great|Satraps of the Alexandrian Empire|4th-century BC Macedonians|Year of birth unknown |
