It is a voluntary aided school administered by Liverpool City Council and the Anglican Diocese of Liverpool. Archbishop Blanch School was formed in 1981 from the amalgamation of two grammar schools, St Edmund's College and Liverpool Girls' College.[2] The school moved to a site in 1993, before moving to its current site in September 2015. The school was awarded specialist Technology College status in 1995 and became a Training School in 2007.[3] Archbishop Blanch School offers GCSEs and BTECs as programmes of study for pupils. The school sixth form is part of the Faiths Partnership with fellow member schools Bellerive FCJ Catholic College, St Hilda's Church of England High School and St Margaret's Church of England Academy. Together, the schools offer a range of A-levels and further BTECs.[4] Ofstead rates the school as 'Good'.[5] References1. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.abblanch.com/ |title=Archbishop Blanch School - Home |publisher=Abblanch.com |date= |accessdate=2014-08-26}} 2. ^{{cite web | title = St Edmund's | url = http://liverpool-schools.co.uk/html/st_edmund_s.html | accessdate = 17 October 2018}} 3. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.abblanch.com/Introduction/Our+History |title=Archbishop Blanch School - Our History |publisher=Abblanch.com |date= |accessdate=2014-08-26}} 4. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.abblanch.com/Curriculum/Sixth+Form |title=Archbishop Blanch School - Sixth Form |publisher=Abblanch.com |date= |accessdate=2014-08-26}} 5. ^{{cite web |title=Inspection results |url=https://files.api.ofsted.gov.uk/v1/file/50052568 |website=Ofstead |accessdate=3 February 2019}} External links
