CareerJones attributes her start in luge to a recruitment camp held at Canada Olympic Park, following the 2002 Winter Olympics in Park City, Utah. Beginning her career at the age of twelve, she worked her way to an elite level through competing in junior national competitions for four years, reaching World Cup level in the 2010-2011 season.[4] With a stature smaller than many of her competitors, Jones has had to face a different set of challenges than most luge athletes competing at an elite level.
