Life and careerDonald was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana.[1] He graduated from St. Augustine High School[2] Donald holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Carleton College in 1976 and a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Washington University in St. Louis in 1977.
