Dilman competed for the Kazakh swimming squad in the men's 200 m freestyle at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. Leading up to the Games, he snatched the top spot with a 1:52.42 to clear the invincible FINA B-cut (1:52.53) by 0.11 of a second at the Kazakhstan Open Championships in Almaty.[3] Swimming in heat two, Dilman tried to hold on with Singapore's Bryan Tay and Estonia's Vladimir Sidorkin heading into the 150-metre turn for the top three spots, but faded down the final stretch to finish with a fifth-place time in 1:52.90. Dilman failed to advance into the semifinals, as he placed fifty-second overall out of fifty-eight swimmers in the prelims.[4] On June 17, 2012, Dilman ordered a six-month suspension by the Kazakhstan Swimming Federation, after he was tested positive for a banned substance methylhexaneamine, following an in-competition doping test at the ENKA Open in Istanbul.[5][6] On March 13, 2013, Dilman helped out his college team Drury Panthers to claim their ninth consecutive title in the men's freestyle relay at the NCAA Division II Swimming Championships.[7][8] References1. ^{{cite sports-reference|Artur Dilman|https://www.sports-reference.com/olympics/athletes/di/artur-dilman-1.html|31 December 2012}} 2. ^{{cite news|last=Mariano |first=Clyde |title=Molina misses bronze medal |url=http://www.mb.com.ph/node/228583/molina-mi |publisher=Manila Bulletin |date=8 November 2009 |accessdate=31 December 2012 |deadurl=yes |archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20121112160023/http://www.mb.com.ph/node/228583/molina-mi |archivedate=12 November 2012 |df= }} 3. ^{{cite web|title=Olympic Cut Sheet – Men's 200m Freestyle|url=http://magazines.swimmingworld.com:9997/SPIPDF/080508olyscutsheet.pdf|format=PDF|page=15|publisher=Swimming World Magazine|accessdate=9 April 2013}} 4. ^{{cite web|title=Swimming: Men's 200m Freestyle Heat 3 |url=http://www.2008.nbcolympics.com/swimming/resultsandschedules/rsc=SWM012900/index.html |work=Beijing 2008 |publisher=NBC Olympics |accessdate=31 December 2012 |deadurl=yes |archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20120821032411/http://www.2008.nbcolympics.com/swimming/resultsandschedules/rsc%3DSWM012900/index.html |archivedate=21 August 2012 |df= }} 5. ^{{cite news|last=Keith|first=Braden|title=2008 Olympian Artur Dilman Gets 6-Month Doping Suspension|url=http://swimswam.com/2008-olympian-artur-dilman-gets-6-month-doping-suspension/|publisher=Swim Swam|date=15 August 2012|accessdate=31 December 2012}} 6. ^{{cite news|title=Doping Offence – Arthur Dilman (KAZ) |url=http://www.fina.org/H2O/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=3078:doping-offence-arthur-dilman-kaz&catid=67:reports&Itemid=183 |archive-url=https://archive.is/20130414173511/http://www.fina.org/H2O/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=3078:doping-offence-arthur-dilman-kaz&catid=67:reports&Itemid=183 |dead-url=yes |archive-date=14 April 2013 |publisher=FINA |date=17 June 2012 |accessdate=31 December 2012 }} 7. ^{{cite news|last=Basnett |first=Chris |title=Drury swimmers celebrate twin titles |url=http://www.news-leader.com/article/20130312/SPORTS04/303120030/drury-panthers-swimming |publisher=Springfield News-Leader |date=11 March 2013 |accessdate=14 March 2013 |deadurl=yes |archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20150518092211/http://www.news-leader.com/article/20130312/SPORTS04/303120030/drury-panthers-swimming |archivedate=18 May 2015 }} 8. ^{{cite news|last=Krzyzanowski |first=Richie |title=Drury claims team title sweep; two more records fall |url=http://www.swimmingworldmagazine.com/lane9/news/College/33734.asp |archive-url=https://archive.is/20130411215511/http://www.swimmingworldmagazine.com/lane9/news/College/33734.asp |dead-url=yes |archive-date=11 April 2013 |publisher=Swimming World Magazine |date=9 March 2013 |accessdate=14 March 2013 }} External links
