Ashwi Khurd is 74.4 km far from its district main city Ahmednagar, 156 km from Pune and 153 km far from state capital Mumbai. The nearest towns are Akole (20.8 km), Rahata (33.7 km), Kopargaon (45.8 km), and Shrirampur (47.9 km).^[1]

Notable people

Indian Cricketer Ajinkya Rahane was born here. He is a currently a noted Indian batsmen having won several accolades for his sound technique. He is a right handed orthodox player. He plays for Indian cricket team as well as Rajasthan Royals in Indian Premier League and Mumbai in Ranji Trophy.
