The Senate Assignments Committee is a six-member legislative body consisting of two ex officio and four members. The Committee operates under a Senate mandate to perform any and all duties assigned to it by the President of the Senate at his or her discretion.[1] Scope and jurisdictionThe scope and jurisdiction of each assignment is prescribed to the Senate Assignments Committee in accordance with each assigned task.[1] The Senate Assignments Committee is comprised by the following stipulated array Pursuant to Senate Rule 2-1.1 this Committee shall be composed of the President of the Senate, President Pro Tempore of the Senate, the Majority Leader and two Senators appointed by the President of the Senate.
