It is owned by GateHouse Media. The paper covers several communities in suburban Butler County, Kansas, part of the Wichita metropolitan area. In addition to Augusta, the Gazette{{'s}} coverage area includes Andover, Douglass, Leon, Towanda and Rose Hill. GateHouse Media also owns a weekly newspaper in the area, the Andover American, and a daily covering the county seat, The El Dorado Times. See also
