The complex consists of seven 19th century stone buildings. The oldest building is a three-story mill constructed of randomly laid stone with walls three feet thick. It has a slate covered gable roof and arched brick opening for the mill race. The remaining buildings consist of two-level mill structures and support buildings, including the boiler house. The complex was acquired by the Container Corporation of America in 1942.[2] The property has been redeveloped for residential use. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.[1] References1. ^1 {{NRISref|version=2010a}} 2. ^{{cite web|url={{NRHP url|id=78000909}} |title=National Register of Historic Places Inventory/Nomination: Augustine Paper Mill |author=Joan M.
