Trackshittaz represented Austria with the song "Woki mit deim Popo", which failed to qualify from the first semi-final, achieving 18th place with 8 points.[1][2] National finalOn 23 September 2011, ORF announced that their national selection will stay the same.[3] The radio station Hitradio Ö3 once again played an important role.[4] On 30 November 2011, ORF announced nine acts that qualified directly for the national final, which took place on 24 February 2012. The line-up of ten finalists was completed through an open call for songs. The interested artists were able to submit their entries until the end of December, and over 100 songs were submitted. The finalist songs were aired from 9 January 2012 on Hitradio Ö3.[5][6][7] On 29 January 2012, it was announced that "Crazy Swing" by the band !DelaDap, was disqualified.
