Avdonin ({{lang-ru|Авдонин}}; masculine) or Adonina ({{lang-ru|Авдонина}}; feminine) is a Russian last name.[1] Variants of this last name include Avdokhin/Avdokhina ({{lang|ru|Авдохин}}/{{lang|ru|Авдохина}}), Avdoshin/Avdoshina ({{lang|ru|Авдошин}}/{{lang|ru|Авдошина}}), Avdyunin/Avdyunina ({{lang|ru|Авдюнин}}/{{lang|ru|Авдюнина}}), and Avdyushin/Avdyushina ({{lang|ru|Авдюшин}}/{{lang|ru|Авдюшина}}).[1]

They all derive from the Russian given names Avdey (or its rare form Avdon) (male)—meaning servant, servile—and Yevdokiya (or its form Avdotya) (female)—meaning benevolence, acceptance, goodwill.[1]
