He earned BA Honors and MA degrees in Islamic Studies from University of Dhaka in 1943 and 1944 respectively.[1] He obtained a second MA degree in Persian from the same University in 1950. He achieved Alamiah Diploma in 1953 and Ph.D. in 1955 from the Al-Azhar University in Cairo.[1] CareerAli joined Dhaka College as a lecturer in 1944.
