In early 1965, the song reached #2 on the adult contemporary chart and #12 on the Billboard chart.[1] It also reached number 3 in South Africa.[2] The song is the title song from the movie, Baby the Rain Must Fall and is heard during the opening credits. The song appeared on Yarbrough's 1965 album, Baby the Rain Must Fall.
