Bajagoli is 10 km from Karkala town. It is a small junction from where one can go to South Kenera Border, Sringeri, Kudremuk, Kalasa, and Hornadu, or to Husmar, Naravi, Guruwainkere, Belthangadi, and Dharmasthala. The Bajagoli Kambala was very famous. The kambala was called LAVA KUSHA Kambala. Now this kambala has been shifted to the nearby place called Miyar. Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Gramabhivraddi Yojane (R) (SKDRDP) conducted a State level Krishimela 2011, from 04-02-2011 to 06-02-2011 at Govt. P.U. College ground Bajagoli. Bajagoli is situated on the way from Karkala to Dharmasthala and also from there you can go to kudremukha and Shringeri, one of the 4 shankaracharya mattas of India. It has beautiful views of Kudremukha the mountains in the near distance which rise above 1800 metres above sea level. It is really enchanting to look at the lush green Kudremukha mountains with its bountiful tropical forests specially during the rainy season as sometimes it is covered in the clouds and some parts shine with emerald brilliance in the sun and some are covered in dark green when shaded by the clouds. Kudremukha is also the site of one of the world's greatest bio diversity reserves as also a well planned township. Bajagoli is surrounded by Miyar, Nallur grama, and Paja gudde. In Bajagoli there are different shops like (general stores, Textile, Tailoring, Beauty Parlor, Fancy, Footwear, Paint, Hardware, Electrical, Electronics, Mobile Sales & Repair, Saloon, Auto Spare Parts, Juice & Ice Cream Parlor, jewellery Shop, Furniture, Sticker Cutting, Scrap, Bakery, Function Arrangers, Chicken Stall, Studio, Flower & Pan Stalls), Garage's, Welding Shop, Petrol Pump, Service Station, Oil Mill, Rice Mill, Saw Mill, Cashew Factories, Medical Clinic (Private / Government), Medical Store(Pharmacy),Hotels both Veg & Non-Veg, Bar & Restaurants, Wine Shops, Lodging, Banks (Private / Nationalized), Govt. The Bajagoli town forms as a junction between National Highway 169 (towards Shimoga) and State Highway 37 (towards Dharmasthala).
