Bambadjan Bamba (born 1982) is an Ivorian actor known for his roles in Reality and The Good Place. Life and careerHe was born in the Ivory Coast (Côte d'Ivoire) and came to the United States at the age of 10 in 1992.[1] He spent his adolescent years between the South Bronx and Richmond, Virginia. He studied at the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts in New York City and was a founding member of the Sacred Drum Company.[2] Bambadjan has appeared in television series such as Grey's Anatomy, The Good Place, The Sopranos, Parenthood, Chaos, LA, ER, Cold Case, Law & Order and HBO’s Wyclef in America in which he played a series regular as the young Wyclef Jean. His film credits include I Think I Love My Wife with Chris Rock, Sympathy for Delicious with Mark Ruffalo, The Movie, Spinning into Butter, No Absolution and Battle Scars. He also has several theatre credits under his belt such as the Off-Broadway play ‘Till The Break of Dawn directed by Danny Hoch, Darfur My Home directed by Obba Babatundé, The Respect Project directed by George Faison and Do Lord Remember Me directed by Wilson Bell.[3] Bambadjan's later film work includes Steven Soderbergh’s action-thriller Contagion, which was released in September 3, 2011, and also stars Matt Damon and Kate Winslet. He also appears in the film Beginners opposite Ewan McGregor.{{fact|date=November 2018}} In November 2017, in an interview with the Los Angeles Times, he came out as a DACA recipient.[4] AdvocacyAfter revealing his status to the media, Bamba used his platform to advocate for undocumented immigrants.
