Bayalu Daari ({{lang-kn|ಬಯಲುದಾರಿ}}; (English: "Open Way") is a 1976 Kannada film directed and produced by the Dorai - Bhagwan duo. It is based on the novel of the same name by Bharathi Sutha. The film starred Anant Nag, Kalpana and K. S. Ashwath in the lead roles. The film was a musical blockbuster with all the songs composed by Rajan-Nagendra considered evergreen hits. Bayalu Daari was the first commercial success for Anant Nag, who had earlier done art films, the movie established him as a leading star in the Kannada cinema and gave him a chocolate hero image. This film was one of the last films of Kalpana.

Director S. K. Bhagavan had revealed that the movie was initially planned with Rajkumar. However, the idea was dropped because the protagonist had to entice a girl before marriage. However, Parvathamma Rajkumar, who loved the story offered to co-produce it with an upcoming actor in the lead role.[1]

Soundtrack
