词条 | Baynun |
释义 |
Legend has it that an older Sabaean fortification of Baynun had been constructed for the Queen of Sheba and had been given to her by Solomon. Yaqut claimed it was destroyed during the Abyssinian conquest by the Aksumites in the 6th century, specifically the year 525 in order to overthrow Dhu Nuwas.[1] The poet Dhu Jadan al-Himyari wrote about the destruction of Baynun.[2][3] References1. ^1 {{cite book|last=Lassner|first=Jacob|title=Demonizing the Queen of Sheba: boundaries of gender and culture in postbiblical Judaism and medieval Islam|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=3QC3uXGswlUC&pg=PA233|accessdate=11 July 2011|year=1993|publisher=University of Chicago Press|isbn=978-0-226-46915-7|page=233}} {{coord missing|Yemen}}{{Tourist attractions in Yemen}}{{Yemen-struct-stub}}{{castle-stub}}2. ^1 2 3 {{cite book|last=McLaughlin|first=Daniel|title=Yemen: the Bradt travel guide|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=eQvhZaEVzjcC&pg=PA118|accessdate=11 July 2011|date=12 February 2008|publisher=Bradt Travel Guides|isbn=978-1-84162-212-5|page=118}} 3. ^{{cite book|last=Kueny|first=Kathryn|title=The rhetoric of sobriety: wine in early Islam|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=XzpXaQyNZVwC&pg=PA82|accessdate=11 July 2011|year=2001|publisher=SUNY Press|isbn=978-0-7914-5053-6|page=82}} 4 : Castles in Yemen|Archaeological sites in Yemen|525 disestablishments|Sabaean architecture |
