释义 |
The Benjamin Simons Neufville is a Greek Rival house at 72 Anson St., Charleston, South Carolina. It is one of the largest houses in the Ansonborough neighborhood.[1] The house was built by Eliza Neufville Kohne in 1846 and remained in the family until 1904.[2][3] The house was purchased by the Historic Charleston Foundation in 1959, which added a brick and wrought iron fence and tore down a later addition to the home, before selling it in 1962. While much of the interior was original, a fire in the 1950s resulted in much of the first floor of the home requiring extensive repairs.[4] References1. ^{{cite news | url=https://news.google.com/newspapers?id=4CFaAAAAIBAJ&sjid=20sNAAAAIBAJ&pg=688,485832&dq=72-anson-st&hl=en | title=72 Anson St. Will Be Sold | work=Charleston News & Courier | date=May 4, 1961 | accessdate=October 19, 2013 | page=D-3}} {{coord|32.7851|-79.9308|region:US-SC_type:landmark|display=title}}{{DEFAULTSORT:Neufville, Benjamin, Simons, House}}{{SouthCarolina-struct-stub}}2. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.ccpl.org/content.asp?catID=6023|title=Anson Street|accessdate=November 10, 2013|deadurl=yes|archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20131110090720/http://www.ccpl.org/content.asp?catID=6023|archivedate=November 10, 2013|df=}} 3. ^{{cite book|author=Jonathan H.
