}} Benoni Moore (April 14, 1669 in Sudbury, Massachusetts – November 18, 1753 in Northfield, Massachusetts) was a politician, soldier, and wealthy landowner in Massachusetts. One of the first residents of Northfield, Massachusetts, his service in battle against local Indian tribes helped sustain the town in its infancy. In 1723, when the town elected its first selectmen, Moore began the first of his six terms in office.[1] References1. ^Holland, Josiah Gilbert.
