Formed in 1917, the department was responsible for all county roads, highways, parks, etc. BCPD had many different units, such as a Bomb Team, Communications, Detective Bureau, Hostage Negotiators, Juvenile Bureau, K-9 Units, OEM (Office of Emergency Management), Patrol, SWAT Team, Traffic Safety, and WSAR (Scuba team).
