Bhaskar Jadhav is a former Minister for Labour & Special Assistance,Maharashtra State & Ex-president of Maharashtra state unit of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and MLA of Maharashtra from Guhagar. Formerly he also served as Minister of State for Urban Development, Forest, Port, Sports, Parliamentary Affairs, Youth Welfare, Ex-Defence Welfare, Law & Order, Fisheries and Guardian Minister of Ratnagiri.

Bhaskar Jadhav is a heavyweight NCP leader in Konkan region. He was member of assembly from Chiplun constituency. Following the clashes with the leadership, he quit Shivsena and contested assembly election as an independent candidate in 2004. He lost by 3000 votes to NCP candidate Ramesh Kadam. It was for the first time that a Shivsena candidate lost deposit in Konkan region. Prabhakar Shinde was an official Shivsena candidate.

After some years of 2004 elections, Bhaskar Jadhav joined NCP. He was elected as member of legislative council representing Konkan Local Bodies constituency. In 2009 assembly elections, NCP fielded him as a candidate from Guhagar constituency where he won by 12000 votes defeating the then Leader of Opposition Ramdas Kadam and a strong BJP rebel, 4th time sitting MLA Dr.Vinay Natu. He was inducted to cabinet as a Minister of State with nine portfolios. Later he was appointed as a State President of NCP. In the following Cabinet Reshuffle, he was again inducted in the cabinet as a Cabinet Minister for Labour Welfare. He was the third representative from Ratnagiri to hold Cabinet rank in the State Ministry after P. K. Sawant and Jagannath Jadhav.

Bhaskar Jadhav had won the Outstanding Parliamentarian Award.

Bhaskar Jadhav started his political career in 1982.

1982 : Shri Bhaskar Jadhav joined Shiv Sena as a party worker. This was the beginning of his political career.

1986 : Worked as Shiv Sena Vibhag Head from Sawarde, Dist. Chiplun.

1988 : Posted as Shiv Sena Taluka Head, Chiplun.

1989 : President, S T Kaamgaar Sena, Chiplun.

1990 : Secretary, Bhartiya Kaamgaar Sena, Chiplun.

1992 - 95 : Became Zilla Parishad member from Opposition party, Asurde, Dist. Chiplun.

1995 - 99 : Got elected as Shiv Sena Legislative Assembly member from Chiplun Legislative Assembly Voters Association.

1999 - 00 : Commonwealth Parliamentary Board of Maharashtra awarded him the Best Speech Award.

1999 - 04 : Re-elected as Shiv Sena Legislative Assembly member from Chiplun Legislative Assembly Voters Association.

2005 : Shifted to Nationalist Congress Party.

2005 : Appointed as General Secretary of NCP.

2006 : Elected as NCP Legislative Council member from the Local Swarajya. Sanstha

2009 : Legislative Assembly member from Guhagar constituency.

2009 : Took Oath as Maharashtra State Minister for Urban Development, Forest, Port, Sports, Parliamentary Affairs, Youth Welfare, Ex-Defence Welfare, Law & Order, Fisheries.

2013 : Appointed as State President of NCP, Maharashtra.
